Camberwell Islamic Centre has served the Muslim community of South London since 1997 — a house built for the worship of Allah, open to Nigerians, Arabs, Somalis, Asians, Jamaicans, Sierra Leoneans, Ghanaians and all who walk through its doors.

A way of life, not only a creed
"Islam is not only a creed to profess but also a way of life to live." That founding conviction still shapes everything at Camberwell Islamic Centre — from the five daily prayers held under one roof, to the counsel, classes and care offered to families across the community.
We cater for a large and richly diverse Muslim community in the Camberwell area, with members originating from many ethnicities. Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome to pray, learn and belong here.

What We Offer
Worship, guidance and community, under one roof
Daily Prayer & Jumu'ah
Five daily congregational prayers and Friday Jumu'ah, with a main prayer hall seating up to 300 worshippers.
Qur'an & Arabic Classes
Evening and weekend courses in Arabic and Qur'an at all levels, for children and adults alike.
Marriage & Family
Nikah ceremonies honouring Islamic and civil tradition, plus individual and family counselling with the Imam.
Funeral Services
Janazah prayers arranged through the main office, coordinated with East London Mosque for preparation.
